Ca-125 is a marker for ovarian cancer. The blood test alone is not diagnostic of ovarian cancer and some patients with raised levels do not have the condition. However a raised level prompts investigations such as scans which can help to determine if the condition is present
Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) is a protein produced by the prostate gland. Elevated levels can be an early indicator of prostate cancer, though raised PSA can also result from a benign enlarged prostate or inflammation. It is used to prompt further investigation and to monitor the response to prostate cancer treatment.
